Out-of-plane measurement

The GAP 1081 measures the distance between a measuring mirror and a scanning head, thereby making it fast and easy to implement out-of-plane measurement within an application.

Optionale reference mark

The GAP 1081 is available with an optional reference mark within the nominal oberating distance, thereby allowing the construction of metrology systems with absolute out-of-plane position feedback.

OPTODUR surface

Featuring an OPTODUR surface, the measuring mirror is avaible in lengths of up to 3 m. The GAP encoder is thus suitable for simple vertical positioning tasks and for continuous measurement across a plane.

Multi-dimensional measurement

When multiple scanning heads are used in conjunction with one or two measuring mirrors, up to six degrees of freedom for an axis can be measured relative to the plane of the mirror.
