HEIDENHAIN CLONE: The new version for the TNC7

Next year, the TNC7 controls with software version 20 or later will have their own version of the HEIDENHAIN CLONE.

The new CLONE version, which will have the ID suffix „-02“, will be brought to market next year at the same time as software version 20 for the TNC7 controls. The CLONE for the TNC7 is a package encompassing a USB hard drive with 1 TB of memory along with a software application specially adapted to the hardware of the TNC7 control.

The new CLONE for the TNC7 will greatly accelerate the backup process for control data. And thanks to the inclusion of GParted, it will also offer the ability to partition hard drives. As a result, adapting the partitioning of the target hard drive to that of the source hard drive for the purpose of a backup becomes easy, such as when the control’s hard drive is to be upgraded from 16 GB to 32 GB.

The CLONE for the TNC7 is suitable for backing up TNC7-compatible main computer data. It will be required starting with software version 20. The current “-01” version for backing up predecessor controls and software versions will remain unchanged.
